Flying Fish

Flying fish are quite an unusual sight! They can be seen shooting out in the bow wave from the sides of the ship. Normally, they swim around in the water like any other fish. But when they feel threatened, they have wings they can spread that carry them up to about 100 feet through the air. 

When the bow of the ship comes cutting through the water towards the fish, they leap up and one can see them skimming over the water, hitting the tips of the waves as they go - kind of like a flat stone that skips across a pond. I hope you can see this guy well enough to see the wings.
